A state level workshop on promotion of agri entrepreneurship was organised by Kisan Kalyan Pradhikaran, Govt of Haryana on 26th September, 2025 at GSF Research Centre, Karnal. The meeting was inaugurated by Sh. Virender Singh Badkhalsa, OSD to Hon’ble CM, Haryana. Sh. Kavinder Rana, Representative of Hon’ble Union Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar ji and Sh. Nepal Singh Rana, participated as guests of honour. About 20 eminent agri entrepreneurs of Haryana participated and shared their success stories with the participating farmers. The prominent agri entrepreneurs who attended the workshop included; Sh. Sultan Singh, VPO- Butana, Nilokheri (Padam Shri Awardee), Karnal; Sh Kanwal Singh Chouhan, Vill. Aterna, Block Rai, Sonipat (Padam Shri Awardee); Sh Rajesh Kumar, Vill Kheri Skinder, Kaithal; Sh. Puneet Singh Thind, Founder & Director, Northern Farmers Mega FPO, Ambala; Sh. Mahender Singh, Vill-Rasina, Pundri, Dist Kaithal; Sh. Vikas Chaudhary, Tarawari, Dist Karnal; Sh. Harvinder Singh, Vill-Sehzadpur, Block-Ladwa, Dist-Kurukshetra; Sh. Rajbir Singh, VPO Dadupur Khurd, Dist-Karnal; Sh. Sanjay Kumar, Taj Export Seeds, Indri, Karnal; Sh. Virender Kumar, agri-entrepreneur in Mushroom cultivation, Morni; Sh. Harpal Singh Bajwa, Vill. Bohar Sadan, Kurukshetra and Shri Gurcharan Singh, seeed producer, village Brass, district Karnal. Dr. O. P. Chaudhary, Principal, College of Agriculture & Regional Director, Regional Rice Research Station, Kaul, Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Assistant Professor, Plant Pathology College of Agriculture, Kaul; Dr. Rajender Singh Gadhwal, Assistant Professor, Soil Science & Natural Farming, College of Agriculture, Kaul also addressed the gathering. Dr. R.S. Chauhan, CEO, Kisan Kalyan Pradhikaran, Haryana delivered the valedictory address. Dr. Gurbachan Singh, Chairman GSFRED and Former Chairman Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board and Union Agriculture Commissioner stressed the need to adopt integrated farming system for doubling farmers income and also to promote agri entrepreneurship on the fields of small and marginal farmers. About 200 farmers and agricultural experts participated in this one day workshop.
